TRIP CHECK
Netarts Bay, Boat launch and Picnic Area.
Summers in Oceanside are full of great events, too. From the fabulous Oceanside
Open annual celebration where paragliders gather to soar out over the ocean, to the Netarts annual Clam Chowder feed, there's
always something to do or see. Browse through our Oceanside vacation rentals and Oceanside beach houses to find one perfect
for your next trip to the Beach!
Lost Boy Beach, Oceanside At the base of Maxwell Mountain you will find the way to a secluded beach, that
during a minus tide will give access to a natural cave (which has been fortified by the County). This cave is called Lost
Boy Cave for a good reason and its name provides proper warning to anyone venturing in when the tide turns! So check your
tide tables and set out for adventure! On the other side
you may find the rare 6 rayed starfish and many large anemones that are visible in the
tidepools. Also washed up on the beach are many different colored agates and perhaps even some green jasper! Oh, and did I
mention the seashells?
